Vanilla French Toast

French toast has alwasy been one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast.  It is so simple to make and is typically pretty filling.  I love that you can pretty much make it at any time as long as you have some ingredients for dipping and any type of bread.  This recipe is a little different because it is spiked with a secret ingredient: vanilla coffee creamer.  I know, it sound different but it makes it taste so good! Let's make some breakfast, mmmmm kay?
Start with milk
Vanilla coffee creamer
Eggs
And a little cinnamon
Give it a good wisk
Get the griddle ready and spray with non-stick cooking spray.  You could also use butter if you were into that sorta thing
This time we used thick cut Texas Toast.  I would totally reccommend that, it was awesome.  Give it a little flip and soak on each side.
Grill it for a few minutes on each side until it is golden brown.
That's it, serve it up with some warm maple syrup...and don't mind my camra strap.  #photographyfail
That's what I'm talking about.
The perfect breakfast...just add a mimosa.  : )

Vanilla French Toast
(this recipe makes enough for two servings of french toast but is easily multiplied)

1 cup milk
3 tablespoons vanilla coffee creamer (any brand or flvaor is fine)
2 eggs
dash (1/8 or so) of ground cinnamon
4 slices of Texas Toast (or bread of your choice)

Start by combining the milk, coffee creamer, eggs and cinnamon in a medium bowl.  Whisk until fully combined.

Preheat the griddle/pan on medium high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Dip each piece of the bread in the milk mixture on both sides.  Don't let it soak more than a second or two or it will be soggy and not cook through.

Place the bread on the griddle/in the pan and cook on each side for two to three minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with warm maple syrup.

Enjoy!
