High Five for Friday!

HAPPY FRIDAY!  Here is my top five for the week!  

Musical Selection: Somebody I Used To Know by: Gotye.  I could listen to this song all.day.long. I think I will today.

1. Sunday evening with my boys in our backyard.  Mr. Schwartz wasn't even posing, perfect photo op.

2. Brand spakin' new ear buds from my hubs that he left in my car before he left for work this week.  Made my day.

3. Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Pizookie.  Nuff said.

 4. Dierks Bentley is coming to my tiny little hometown this summer. Doesn't get much better than that.

5. Homemade sausage for sausage and biscuits.  I'll be posting the recipe on Sunday!

High Five for Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!  I have the day off today--YAY for working at a University that appreciates staff during Spring Break!  I am on puppy duty and we are taking Rem to the vet today.  Fingers crossed everything goes well.

1. My boys. 

 2. Finding out that whole wheat flour is fantastic, maybe even better than white flour in my Coconut Banana Bread!

 3. Fantastic breakfast with my buddy Melissa.  Great food, even better company.

 4. Grown up Cherry Limade. Aka, with vodka.

5. Breakfast treat...Sour Cherry Scone.  Usually We just have smoothies but I decided to treat myself at work this week. I have been a bit tired.  : )

High Five for Friday

Happy Friday! Today is especially happy for me since I have off today to man the house with the puppy.  We will be hanging out, playing and blogging all day.  I have a feeling blogging will take a back burner.  But for the time being, he is snoozing under my left arm.  Absolute puppy bliss.  I can't say the same for last night.  One would think a puppy would grow hoarse after yelping.  Not so much.  I think it will be a two latte day.

Musical Selection: Who Says by: John Mayer.  Straight chillin'.

1. Fresh produce to prep for our little dinner party last weekend and the fun that followed. (Recipes to come!)

2. Fresh Corn Salsa Frittata with a Hash Brown Crust. Enough said. 

3. GRILLING in March, in MINNESOTA! Unheard of.  Check out that spread!  

4. Celebrating my awesome big bro's birthday!  Hence the BBQ.  My niece wasn't so sure when we were singing but once it was done and the candles were out, she wanted more.  

5. Lastly, here's a little sweetness, our Rem.

High Five for Friday!

This is the most excited I have been for a High Five for Friday Post!  I have exciting news!!!! No, I'm not pregnant. Geez.  I feel like every time I have something exciting to say people thing I have a bun in the ov.  I don't.  But, something almost equally exciting.... Lets get to it! In order of occurrence...

Musical Selection: We Are Young by: Fun.  I CANNOT stop listening to this song. I have a problem.

 1. Saturday morning blogging.  This was pure perfection.  And yes, I shoot all my pictures for the blog with that dinky little camera.

 2.  Oh God.  Here it is.  the BIG news! We are getting a puppy!!!!  We picked him out last weekend and he will officially be ours next Wednesday.  Ugh, I could just EAT that face.

3. The Shamrock Shake Cupcakes I made.  Nuff said. 

4. D'Amico and Son's pizza at work.  I have a new obsession.  Salami and peperoncini.  So good.

5. Last but not least, a gift basket for our new bundle from my brother's family.  My sister (in-law) Emily is the most thoughtful and creative person I know!  Isn't this adorable!?  Oh and if you were wondering, we are naming our hound Remington hence the unstoppable name plate.  Please note there is a puppy vest in there and no matter what Mr. Schwartz says, he is wearing it.  Stay tuned.

High Five for Friday!

Hi YOU!  I hope you are had a fantastic work week!  I sure am happy it is Friday!!!


Here are my favorites from this week!

1.  Paiano Man (also the musical selection for today) played on the radio this morning while I was getting ready for work.  It brought me back to this exact moment on our wedding day.  You can't see it but we are dancing in the middle of a large circle of our friends and all of the guys have their pants at their ankles.  It's tradition.

 2. Yesterday at our "work retreat" we had a project we were working on that involved pipe-cleaners, safety scissors, construction paper and these.  Throw back to 2rd grade and my sticker books.  I was pretty pumped.

 3.  This little contraption makes me very, very happy.  Thank you Pinterest for letting me know it exists and my parents for the Christmas gift!

4. Birthday Cake Batter Popcorn.  Enough said.

5. My Spring Pinterest board.  I can't wait to decorate for SPRING!

High Five for Friday!

It is that time again! Can you believe it is already Friday!?  This week has just flown by and I'm really happy because we have BIG plans this weekend.  Mr. Schwartz and I are traveling up to our home town of Cold Spring for the alumni basketball tournament.  It should be a good time, Mr. Schwartz and my brother both play so it is always fun to watch.  The championship game always gets a bit rowdy so hopefully no injuries this year!

What is everyone else up to?  Whatever it is, I hope you have a great day!

OHHHH and before I forget, my friend Melissa is becoming an AUNTIE again today!  Congrats Auntie and hugs and kisses to the new little one! XOXOXO

Musical Selection: Princess of China by: Cold Play featuring Rihanna. I'm obsessed.

1. My parents stayed over last weekend and I made breakfast the next morning.  This was my plate.  I want to go back to that moment.  In addition, I do have to say that the Vanilla Pudding Cinnamon Rolls that I made and froze came out PERFECTLY!  Check out the recipe here

2. Valentines Day party at work.  They don't mess around with this thing.  We had a cookie decorating bar, coffee and BINGO!  Fantastic prizes too!  Although I didn't win, I'm already looking forward to next year!

3. Speaking of Valentine's Day, we had dinner at a little Mexican restaurant and it was perfection. A huge fajita burrito smothered in queso, yes please!  I will be recreating that one!

4. I made Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Chicken last night.  OMG.  It is out of this world! Honestly one of my best recipes yet! I will post the recipe next week.

5. Last but not least, a new lens for my camera on my phone!!!!!! I'm pumped about this and you should too! No more crummy, burry pictures for High Five for Friday! YAY!

High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday!!!!!

This is my third week of posing a High Five for Friday and I'm starting to like this little routine. Although, since I am taking the majority of the pictures on my phone I am realizing that I need a new one. Does anyone else have an HTC Evo? I love mine however, the camera lense sticks out of the back and it is now super scratched. Not cool. But, it is either lay it on the screen (probably not) or the back where the lense sticks out. Stupid design I'm telling ya.

Soo I want an iPhone.

Enough of my complaining! Have a great weekend! I'm looking forward to dinner tonight with my gal pal Melissa and hosting a nice dinner with my family on Saturday.

1. Musical Selection: Heartbeat by: The Fray. This song is actually part of my high five this week! I love it.

2. Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chips.  Have you had these!?  I have had plenty of buffalo wing pretzels in my day but these totally take the cake.  Along with a diet coke, best afternoon snack eeveeer.

3. Holy Chobani! Yes, it was on sale this week and it made us very happy.

4. Mr. Schwartz's sign for me in the morning.  It made me smile.  (Please don't be distracted or judge the dirty espresso machine behind it).

5. This little Valentine's Day sucker (lollipop for those not in MN) I stole from the hair salon.  Typically I'm not a fan since they taste like cough drops but this really made me happy yesterday afternoon.

Oh and by the way, I'm a real blogger now.  I just had to purchase more storage since I was out due to the large amount of pictures on the blog.  : )
